Most people wear white ritual clothing, and many have sandalwood or vibhuti marks on their foreheads, with some holding hands in prayer. On the right, a standing man with long swept-back hair wears a saffron-orange robe and a heavy ornate gold necklace, with his hands clasped in front of him. He stands before a seated crowd on a white cloth near a patterned mat. The scene suggests a satsang or darshan gathering in the open air.2005-12-31A large outdoor satsang gathers under a massive banyan tree with spreading aerial roots. Dozens of devotees in white clothes sit on mats and the ground in rows, many in white and some in red or dark tops. In the centre, a robed teacher sits on a red-cushioned seat in front of a microphone, wearing orange clothing. At the right stands a large orange-robed statue of a sage on a red pedestal, and a black-and-white patterned cloth lies nearby. Round stone platforms surround the tree and the scene is lit by warm evening light.2010-02-09 +1 copiesDecember 05 20112011-12-05Outdoor satsang beneath a large banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots.
