Night photo of a water ritual at a lit temple tank. A white boat carries a golden deity murti garlanded with multicoloured flower garlands under a small striped canopy. A man in orange robe with a tall white headwear sits in the boat beside it, and a man in white dhoti sits at the back. Two men in white clothes wade in the water pulling the boat with a yellow rope. Behind, a black Shivalinga is lit with fountain-like water streams, strings of coloured lights hang overhead, and a few white-clad figures stand on the steps.

A raft-like platform with white draping hosts a golden pedestal holding a deity murti draped in a dense garland of yellow, red and green flowers, under a striped ceremonial parasol. A man in an orange robe, wearing a tall patterned crown and gold necklaces, holds a lit oil lamp beside the murti. Another man in white sits behind, reading from a book, while two men in white clothing stand waist-deep in the water steadying the platform. Fountain spray and strings of coloured lights decorate the background.2010-11-23A night photograph of a floating boat-shrine on water in front of an illuminated black Shivalinga with water cascading down its face. On the boat, a priest in an orange robe and tall ornate gold headdress sits cross-legged beside a lit oil lamp and a brass tray. Behind them a gold-coloured deity murti stands richly garlanded with red, yellow, green and purple flower garlands under a small decorated canopy. A second seated figure in white dhoti and shawl with a rudraksha-style necklace sits to the right, and two more people in white attend from the edges, one tending a rope at the bottom. Strings of lights run along the top of the scene.2010-11-23Night photograph of a floating raft on a water tank at a lit temple complex. A seated figure in saffron-orange robes, wearing a tall white crown and a rudraksha mala, sits on a white-draped platform on the raft beside a large golden-framed deity murti decorated with colourful flower garlands and a striped canopy overhead. Behind them a black Shiva lingam stands with three golden faces, water fountains spraying around it, and string lights with red, green and white bulbs stretch across the steps. Several people in white clothes sit on the steps in the background, and one man in white pushes or steers the raft at the front. The seated figure has distinctive saffron clothing, a tall crown and malas, but the appearance is not clear enough to confirm identity, so the figure is treated as a priest in ritual dress.2010-11-23Night photograph of a temple tank with a large black Shivalinga-style lingam at the far end, water cascading from its top and lit from below. Strings of multicoloured lights run along the tank's stepped stone edges. In the foreground, a white-covered boat holds a deity murti decorated with a dense garland of red and yellow flowers, set on a gold-coloured stand with a small flag-like canopy above. Two figures sit in the boat: one in an orange-saffron garment with a white cap, the other in white dhoti and shawl with a smaller seated figure beside them. Other white-clad people stand on the steps.2010-11-23Night photo of a ritual on a white-canopied boat at a temple tank. A figure in saffron-orange robes, a tall gold-and-white crown and a rudraksha mala sits cross-legged on the white cloth, a small lamp and a brass plate before him. Beside him a golden peetha holds a deity murti draped in a dense garland of yellow, orange and red flowers, with a small silver figure at its centre. A young assistant in white sits at the edge of the boat, and another person in white pulls at the rope in the foreground. Behind, a black Shiva lingam with three tripundra markings stands in a fountain of water spraying into the tank, with a string of coloured lights across the top of the scene and a row of seated devotees in white on the steps at left.2010-11-23Night photograph of a decorated white boat carrying a seated figure in saffron-orange garments beneath a multicoloured umbrella canopy on a lit lake. Two men in white clothes stand in the water guiding the boat toward a tall black lingam-shaped structure at the water's edge, with a fountain spraying water behind it. Strings of multicoloured lights run along the stone steps, where a few people sit. The figure's face is not discernible at this scale, so the identity is unsure.2010-11-23November 23 20102010-11-23November 23 20102010-11-23November 22 20102010-11-22
