Long dark tables hold banana leaves set with food, steel tumblers and small bowls. A woman in a white sari with orange and red border and a black mangalsutra stands at left, serving from a steel pot. Beside her a long-haired figure in an orange robe leans in to serve, while a man in white shirt and dhoti stands behind. Rows of men in white shirts and dhotis sit along the tables eating, some with raised hands, and another man in a white shirt sits at right. Seated devotees, mostly men and women in white and coloured silk saris, sit on mats in rows before fresh green banana leaves. Several people wear red and white flower garlands and are sprinkling or arranging cooked rice and small offerings on the leaves with their hands. Standing attendants in white clothing move between the rows, and large framed images of a woman in red and gold saris hang on the wall behind. White and orange cloth covers part of the floor. The scene looks like an annadan-style communal meal or puja offering.2006-12-26Annadhan in 20152015-01-01 +1 copiesJanuary 31 20152015-01-31 +1 copiesDecember 26 20082008-12-26
