Photograph of a temple ritual with two shirtless men in a close, bent-over posture. The standing man on the left wears a white dhoti with a yellow-and-red bordered cloth draped over his shoulder, a rudraksha mala around his neck, and white sacred ash marks on his forehead; he holds a dried leaf or palm-leaf vessel and a small offering. The man on the right, wearing spectacles, a saffron-orange cloth and a yellow-and-red flower garland, sits or kneels with his hands extended to receive the offering, with white markings on his chest and arms. Behind them stand ornate silver and gold decorations, a tall decorated staff, and yellow, red and white flower garlands against a maroon backdrop. The scene suggests a puja or abhishekam-style offering, with one person presenting and another receiving.2015-07-13Ritual scene in a gold-decorated temple-style setting with golden arches and marigold garlands.
