Outdoor photo of a large crowd gathered on bare, churned dirt ground beneath a partly cloudy blue sky, with palm trees behind and a line of overhead power cables. Many people stand facing a distant open-sided tent or pavilion with a blue canopy and saffron flags on poles, with a small structure beside it. Men wear white dhotis and shirts; women wear colourful saris in pink, yellow, green, red and blue, and a child is held on a hip at right. A large framed portrait banner stands at the right edge. No single figure can be confidently identified from appearance, and the crowd is seen from behind or in profile.
