Outdoor scene on a dusty red-earth ground during a temple procession. A large crowd of men, women and children in saris, dhotis, shirts and bright cotton clothes gathers in front of an ornate cream-coloured stone canopy shrine on the right, where a deity murti is decorated with garlands and a figure in white stands beside it. Saffron-clad attendees are visible among the crowd. A white flag and orange pennants flank the shrine, and a small temple gopuram stands at the left under a grey, overcast sky. A young girl in a pink top holds a small plate.
