Outdoor photo of a riverside ritual at a Brahmotsavam festival. In the foreground a decorated wooden boat or raft is heaped with orange marigold garlands and a white jasmine garland hangs on a woman in an orange sleeveless top, facing away. Nearby, a bald man in orange robes and glasses stands beside men in white shirts and orange shawls, one holding a camera. Several men and women in orange garments line the boat, and a man in a white shirt steers from the stern. Steps of a red-and-white striped embankment lead down to the water, where more people in white and orange stand. Brightly coloured balloons float near the boat.

Many people in white clothes surround the float, some raising their hands in worship. Behind them a white-and-red diagonally striped stepped wall rises from the water under a tree. The scene suggests a water procession or ritual bathing of a deity float.2009-06-09January 02 20092009-01-02January 02 20092009-01-02
