He wears an orange unstitched wrap over bare shoulders, a gold-bordered orange dhoti, a rudraksha mala around his neck and a white forehead mark, with his hair tied in a bun. His hands are pressed together in anjali mudra with eyes closed. The setting is an outdoor temple area with trees behind. He is bare-chested, wearing a peach-coloured dhoti and a matching draped shawl edged in gold, with a beaded necklace and gold armlet. Before him is a black stone deity murti seated in a white arched niche, draped with a red cloth and garlanded with yellow and red flowers, with a green backdrop behind it. A large heap of red offerings lies in front of the shrine among trees and dry ground. The man's appearance with long hair, gold adornments and draped peach clothing is a compatible presentation, so this may be a person, shown in devotional prayer before the deity.2011-11-20A photograph of an outdoor shrine under a large banyan tree. A man stands in profile on the right, bare-chested beneath an orange-saffron shawl with gold edging, palms pressed together in namaskar. He has long, swept-back dark hair and a gold-toned necklace.
