He holds a brass oil lamp with a flame toward a dark grey stone statue of a multi-armed deity in dancing pose, surrounded by a carved circular halo, holding a trident. The priest appears to be performing aarti. The setting is an orange-walled building with a window and a green gate at dusk.2011-10-31A photograph at night of a shaved-headed man in an orange-saffron cloth and orange rudraksha-style beaded necklace standing with his back to the camera, facing a large black stone deity murti with multiple arms, a white dhoti-like cloth draped on the figure, white and yellow flower garlands and a rudraksha mala. Behind the murti is a dark metal gate and a lattice window with a light fixture.2013-05-27February 17 20162016-02-17December 11 20162016-12-11 +1 copiesNovember 20 20102010-11-20A priest in saffron-orange ceremonial dress and an ornate blue-and-white embroidered conical crown stands with his back to the camera, holding a small metal lamp with a flame in his right hand while facing a large grey stone murti of a multi-armed deity. The stone figure stands within a carved circular halo, holding a long staff or trident-like weapon and other implements, with a decorated pedestal. Behind them is a tiled room with a window, a ceiling fan, a refrigerator and a water canister. The scene suggests aarti performed before a deity murti.2011-10-31Two shaved-headed priests in saffron-orange robes with gold borders stand with their backs to the camera before a black stone deity murti with a trident-like staff, placed in front of the murti. The murti is draped in a red and white cloth, with rudraksha mala strands and red and yellow flower garlands. The murti sits within a dark circular halo and an oil lamp burns on the floor below. The priests are dusted with white ash and wear gold chains; one holds the trident upright while the other reaches toward the murti. The setting is a warm-lit temple corner with orange walls.2013-03-02
