Outdoor ritual photo at a temple flag-mast setting under coconut palms and a blue sky. A large copper-toned ceremonial pillar, wrapped with white cloth and draped with yellow and orange marigold garlands, stands on a white platform strewn with yellow flower petals. A standing figure in long saffron-orange robes with long hair and a white flower garland holds a bell and a lamp, performing an offering. A young man in orange robes and a rudraksha mala sits with palms pressed together in prayer beside small woven-wrapped pots of green plants. At right, another seated figure in orange with a beaded necklace holds a tray of flowers. A red flag flutters at left.

Outdoor ritual at a copper-clad flagstaff on a raised white platform beneath coconut palms and a clear blue sky. The tall copper pole is wrapped in white cloth and draped with yellow and red marigold garlands; a small saffron flag flies at left. A man in an orange-saffron robe with a long swept-back hair and a white flower garland with rudraksha malas stands at centre holding a brass plate, apparently performing a flag-hoisting or pole-worship rite; the figure is consistent with the page's a person-led Brahmotsava context, though the face and presentation cues are only partly clear. A second saffron-robed priest in a dark beard kneels at the base offering a plate, and another bearded man in orange with a rudraksha garland stands at right. Potted banana-leaf plants and marigold petals line the platform, and a few spectators in red shirts and white clothes watch from the edges.2008-12-23 +1 copiesDecember 23 20082008-12-23 +1 copiesDecember 23 20082008-12-23December 23 20082008-12-23Outdoor photo of a ceremonial ritual at a temple-style setting under palm trees in bright daylight. Beside him, a younger person in orange kneels with palms pressed together in namaskar. Several seated devotees in orange robes hold a tray of flowers and flower petals are scattered on a white stone platform. A large ornate copper-toned kalasha-style vessel adorned with yellow and multicoloured garlands stands on the left, with woven planter pots near the base. On the right, a person in orange holds a tall trident staff, and a red-and-orange umbrella is raised above the group. A figure with long dark hair, wearing a long-sleeved saffron robe and a white flower garland, stands with one hand raised in blessing near the flagstaff. Beside him, a younger man in saffron robes and rudraksha mala holds a brass tray, and another saffron-clad attendant stands at the right edge. A small red-and-saffron flag flutters on the left, consistent with a flag-hoisting ceremony. A figure with long dark swept hair in an orange-saffron robe, wearing a garland, stands raised on a platform holding a small brass vessel and lamp toward the pole. Several devotees in matching orange robes sit or stand around the base, a trident is leaned against the pole, and a red fringed parasol and palm trees frame the bright blue sky. Swamiji (probable), the figure at the flagstaff, is performing the flag-hoisting ceremony, with the orange robes and long hair as visible cues.2008-12-23December 23 20082008-12-23 +1 copiesOutdoor ritual at a large copper-clad ceremonial pillar wrapped with an orange cloth and draped with yellow marigold garlands, set on a carved stone base.
