A decorated palanquin or canopy procession in a village street. A tall, layered canopy of colourful draped cloths in red, green, blue, pink and yellow is strung with white jasmine garlands and orange marigold garlands, and a small deity figure is visible within. Several men and boys carry the structure on their shoulders; one man in a green-and-white checked headcloth is supporting it with two boys in school-style uniforms beside him. On the right, a man in a red checked shirt plays a large drum, and men in white dhotis and shirts walk behind. Older men in green shirts and headwraps stand at the left edge. Brass finials crown the canopy top.
