Outdoor village street procession in daylight. A tall canopied palanquin with silver finials is draped in red, green, blue and purple cloth and garlanded with white jasmine and orange marigold strings; it is carried high on a bearer's raised shoulder while a drummer in a dark sleeveless top and knee wraps plays a large drum. Beside him a man in white shirt and dhoti plays a second drum. On the left, men in green kurtas and white dhotis hold long poles wrapped in red, yellow and green flower garlands, and onlookers in checked lungis and shirts line the road. Power lines and low buildings frame the scene. The palanquin appears to carry a deity murti, though no form is clearly visible.
