A photograph of a ritual scene on a red and blue patterned rug. A figure with long dark hair in an orange-red garment and a gold-toned beaded necklace sits cross-legged at left, handing a small offering to a seated devotee. A brass plate holds sliced fruit, including bananas, apples and spiky green fruit, plus a folded white cloth and a stack of coloured books. Around them, a few people in white dhotis and white and orange saris stand or kneel; an older woman in white with folded palms and an older man in white shirt and glasses sit with hands joined in prayer. Brass bowls sit at the lower edge.

On the right, a man in a saffron-orange sleeveless garment with a gold-coloured ornate necklace sits with palms pressed together in namaskar, facing a gathering. Seated on an orange mat in front, devotees in white and cream attire fold their hands in prayer, including a woman in a red-bordered white sari, a woman in a white blouse, a bald man in white with a red-and-white shawl and a rudraksha-style mala, and children. Several silver-and-gold plates with lamps, fruit and flower offerings sit on a golden tray in the foreground. In the foreground, a row of seated devotees in white and traditional cream-and-red saris and dhotis, with hands pressed together in anjali, sit before brass trays of offerings with small fruits, lamps and bowls. On the right, a man in a saffron-orange sleeveless garment with a gold necklace and his hair drawn up in a bun stands with palms joined, facing the seated group across a white-draped seat. Further back, more seated people and standing attendants in white with red shawls are visible. The scene resembles a padapuja-style ritual. The man in orange has distinctive saffron clothing, gold ornaments and a bun, which is consistent with the candidate a person in this context.2010-07-24A seated figure with long dark hair, wearing an orange saffron robe and a white flower garland, sits with palms pressed together in namaste on a low white-draped seat in a plain room with textured wallpaper. Around a blue cloth covered with bowls of fruit, sweets, flowers, a silver plate and brass vessels, several people sit on the floor in white clothes and yellow shawls, and a woman in a white sari and a man in white with folded hands join in prayer, with a child on the left. A puja or padapuja offering appears in progress.2009-07-25February 14 20102010-02-14A seated figure with long dark hair, wearing an orange robe and a white flower garland, sits with palms pressed together in namaskar before a small altar with fruit, sweets, brass bowls and oil lamps on a white cloth. Around the blue mat, devotees sit: a woman in an orange sari, a man in white with a yellow shawl, a woman in a pink top with polka dots, and a woman in orange robes beside the altar. Plain tiled walls, a brown bag and a box are in the room, and an offering of fruit sits in a basket on the floor. The scene reads as a padapuja ritual with offerings, though this is an informal domestic-style room.2009-07-25
