A photograph taken from inside a covered wooden ferry boat with a white arched frame on the Triveni Sangam river. A man in an orange hooded robe and red cap, with a beard, leans forward gesturing toward the water with raised arm. Around him sit devotees in orange shawls, a purple-hooded child, a woman in a white head covering, and people in winter knit caps. A videographer on the left films with a camera. Other boats crowded with passengers surround the ferry on the hazy water.

Photo on the Ganga at Triveni Sangam, Allahabad, of a crowded covered ferry boat with a white curved frame overhead. Beside him an older man in a dark blue knit cap and orange shawl sits, and a child in a purple hooded jacket is near the front. A boatman in white kurta with a light blue scarf stands at the stern holding a long pole. Three people sit under the canopy: a man in a red sweater with glasses on the left, a figure in a bright orange hooded sweatshirt with a red face covering and orange gloves holding the canopy rail in the centre, and a person in a light grey shawl on the right, with a child partly visible at the far right. The figure in orange wears a face covering and no visible turban, crown or rudraksha malas, so the appearance cues are insufficient and the identity is uncertain. Birds fly above the boat under a clear blue sky.January 09 20062006-01-09January 08 20062006-01-08January 08 20062006-01-08A photograph taken from a boat on open river water under a clear pale sky, showing several small wooden and blue-painted ferry boats with white pipe-frame canopies. In the foreground a man with a white turban and grey moustache, wearing a green jacket, grips an oar. Behind him a passenger in a bright orange shawl and red head covering holds an orange-gloved hand up toward a canopy pole. Other passengers in shawls and headscarves sit in the boats. The scene matches the Triveni Sangam ferry crossing at Allahabad described on the page, with the confluence of the rivers in view.2006-01-08
