October 17 20102010-10-17A flower-decorated palanquin-style throne, covered with yellow and white garlands and red-and-white flower strings, is carried through a stepped tank of water. A man seated on the throne wears an orange garment, a red shawl and a red-and-gold stole and is seated under a yellow canopy. Water sprays up in an arc beside the throne. Around it, many people stand waist-deep in the water: men in white dhotis and white shirts, and women in white, yellow, red and green saris, some holding flower garlands or kalasha-like vessels. Red-and-white stepped ghats line the back of the tank. The scene appears to be a ritual procession in water.2010-10-17October 17 20102010-10-17A flower-decorated golden throne platform stands in shallow water at a tiered stone tank. A man with long dark hair, wearing an orange-saffron dhoti and a red-and-white flower garland, sits on the red-cushioned throne, smiling. Its arch is framed with yellow, red and white marigold and rose arrangements. Devotees in white dhotis and shawls wade around the platform, some in orange, and a small deity murti decorated with white flower garlands sits at the base of the throne. A probable Swamiji depiction: the seated man shows long swept-back hair and saffron ceremonial clothing with a red garland, consistent with the page's Swamiji event. Setting suggests a Dasara ritual bathing procession at Sripuram, Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam.2010-10-17October 17 20102010-10-17January 02 20102010-01-02 +1 copiesA large outdoor water tank with red-and-white stepped stone sides hosts a ceremony.
