A photograph of a shaded outdoor garden courtyard with a large banyan tree whose aerial roots hang and spread across the background. Sandy paths curve between white-painted border edges and young trees. At the centre, a small open-sided canopy shelters a seated figure wearing orange and saffron cloth, positioned in front of a mound of red earth or kumkum-like powder set within a circular black-and-white tiled border. Several white pillars stand around the area. No people are visible apart from the seated figure, which is a statue or deity murti rather than a living person.

In the middle distance a small open pavilion with pillars and a tin roof stands on a raised platform, and a figure in orange and dark clothing, possibly a seated person or statue, is visible beneath it. In the foreground a low hedge of bright yellow-green and dark green leaves runs diagonally across the frame. Behind it, reddish-brown earth, a white-painted low wall and a concrete path lead toward a boundary wall.

A large banyan tree dominates the frame, its thick grey trunk and sprawling aerial roots spreading wide over a shaded garden. Circular white-rimmed raised beds of reddish-brown soil are laid out around its base, with a few thin white posts or stakes standing among them. Far back under the branches, a small white pillared shelter stands, with a figure in orange and yellow clothing near it. The scene is calm and green, with dappled daylight filtering through the leaves.
