A seated man in saffron-orange robes with gold borders and a long rudraksha mala wears white horizontal tripundra marks on his forehead and arms and a red bindi. He sits before an ornate gold repoussé backdrop and, eyes lowered, scoops white powder from a hand with a gold ceremonial vessel with a footed base. Dark rudraksha beads lie on the red cloth at left, and an open hand of a devotee appears at the lower right. The man has long, swept-back dark hair and gold earrings, and wears a crown-like ornament absent here. Swamiji (probable): he is a long-haired figure in saffron and rudraksha, seated on a gold-decorated throne, performing a vibhuti or kumkum offering.
