A blurred, film-grain photograph of an indoor ritual hall during a sanyas initiation ceremony. In the foreground a seated figure wears a red-orange cloth draped over the shoulders, with brass ritual objects and a yellow-gold cloth in front. Behind them a group of people in white clothing stands in a line, with a figure in a turquoise garment near the centre; a glowing oil lamp is held by one person. A tall orange-robed figure stands at left beside a wooden pillar hung with garlands, and bright windows and a patterned curtain frame the back wall. Several people in white are visible across the room, some partially hidden by blur.
