A seated man on an ornate gold throne carved with a lion-head armrest, wearing a red turban, red-and-saffron robes, a tiger-striped shawl draped over the seat, beaded white and red necklaces and armbands, is being honoured with hands folded in front of him. Around the throne, several devotees sit on the floor with palms pressed together, including a man in white with white tripundra vibhuti on his forehead, a woman in saffron with a rudraksha mala, and an older woman in saffron at the lower right. Silver offering trays holding flowers, marigolds, pink petals, kumkum and small oil lamps sit in front of the throne, and brass hanging bells and lamps hang on the black wall behind. Swamiji (probable) cues: turban, saffron-red ornate clothing, beaded jewellery and the tiger-striped seat, with his role as the seated figure on the throne receiving devotion during a puja-type ritual.
