Night photograph of a illuminated Hindu temple gopuram at Tiruvannamalai, its tiered tower outlined in white and yellow lights with red and gold bunting strung across the street. Dense crowds of devotees stand in the foreground, partly visible with heads cut off by the frame. Strings of lamps decorate nearby shop fronts and a pavilion on the left. No identifiable individual is clearly shown, and no ritual action is clearly visible.

Night photograph of a illuminated temple chariot (ratha) in a procession, with a tall tiered tower decorated with string lights, garlands and warm lamps, moving along a road lined with multicoloured fairy lights. A smaller lit float with a canopy stands to the left. Dark silhouettes of a crowd fill the foreground. Figures are too small and dim to identify, and the setting appears to be an evening festival procession.

Night photograph of a dense crowd gathered in front of an illuminated temple-style structure decorated with string lights, a swastika emblem, and circular OM symbols on its facade. Many people in the crowd raise their hands with palms pressed together in namaste near parked white vans and cars. A decorated vehicle with floral and printed panels stands at right, with a man in light clothing on its roof. A large portrait of a bearded man with long hair, printed on a pink banner, is held up at lower right. Red flags are visible among the crowd. Festive lighting fills the scene.
