A large crowd bathes in a river at a stone ghat with steps. Many people stand waist- to chest-deep in the murky brown water, most wearing black or dark t-shirts and shorts, some in white or saffron. Onlookers crowd the steps above, including a bald man in black, a woman in an orange shawl, and children in brightly coloured clothes. A man in a white dhoti and bare chest stands on the steps, and a blue municipal sign with text is visible at the upper left. Water splashes around several bathers. No individual can be confidently identified from appearance, so no a person candidate is claimed.
