A bare-chested priest with shaved head, forehead markings and a gold headband, wearing a rudraksha mala and a rust-red dhoti with gold border, walks forward carrying a silver tray of pink flower petals. Behind him, several men in white dhotis and shawls, one holding a lit oil lamp and another a brass vessel, stand in a line. A cameraman in a purple checked shirt films at the left edge. Small oil lamps sit on the counter, and deity murtis are visible in niches along the back wall. This appears to be a puja or aarti procession.2012-05-13 +1 copiesA shaved-headed man in an orange-red silk dhoti with gold-bordered edges stands on marble steps in a temple shrine doorway. He wears a dark rudraksha mala and a gold chain, a tilak mark on his forehead, and a headband, and holds a silver tray of pink flower petals. He wears a gold headband, a dark rudraksha-style mala, gold armlets and rings, and white sacred ash markings on his forehead and shoulders. Behind him, a row of black stone lingams or deity forms is draped in white and red-striped cloth, lit by recessed white lamps, with more petals scattered on the marble. A devotee in orange stands at the left edge. Appearance is not sufficient to confirm an identity, so the figure is described by role as a priest performing a flower offering.2012-05-07 +1 copiesMay 13 20122012-05-13 +1 copiesJune 04 20122012-06-04
