A photograph taken from a boat on a river with a curved white canopy frame overhead. A man standing at the front wears a long white robe and has long dark hair, with a shawl-like wrap draped over his shoulders; he stands upright and looks ahead. Seated around him are about five people in the boat: a woman in a bright orange-and-red sari at right, a woman in pink and purple clothing at left, a man in a green top, and others wearing white and pink garments with a white cloth hat visible. Behind them the river water and a distant riverbank with buildings are visible under a pale sky, consistent with a ferry ride on the Triveni Sangam.
