Photograph of a food-serving scene at a Nithyanandoham event. A man seated on the left wears a saffron-orange wrap, a long rudraksha mala and ornate gold necklaces, and has a swept-up dark hairstyle; he is ladling yellow rice from a large silver bowl with ornate engraving. Beside him, a man in a plain white dhoti with gold borders and a red-brown rudraksha mala holds out his hands toward the food. Behind them a woman in a red sari, a standing man in white and gold-bordered clothing, and a bolster-style red sofa sit near stainless steel pots and bowls of rice on a white-covered table. A gold-framed throne chair edge appears at left and a blue curtain hangs in the background.

The seated man shows cues of long swept-back hair and rudraksha, so he is a person candidate in a seated, serving role at a food offering.2015-12-20 +1 copiesA seated figure in a saffron-orange shawl over a bare shoulder, with a rudraksha mala of beads around the neck and a red-and-gold ceremonial seat behind, reaches to offer a handful of yellow rice to a man in a pink kurta with an orange lanyard and a red headband. Silver bowls of yellow rice sit on a white-covered table, with a steel pot nearby. Behind them, several people in white dhotis with gold borders and red sashes stand near a red sofa. The seated figure has a distinctive ceremonial appearance, but the identity cannot be confirmed from appearance alone, so the person is described by role as the seated figure offering food.2015-12-20December 20 20152015-12-20 +1 copies
