Night outdoor ritual at a raised stone platform lined with red-and-white striped borders and white pillars, lit by floodlights and strings of small lamps. Two men in plain white dhoti and shirt stand at the platform; the nearer one bare-chested holds a flame or lamp toward the platform while the other stands beside him. A large crowd of seated devotees, mostly in white, cream and saffron clothing, faces the platform, with women in bright saris and braided hair among them. Rows of ceremonial pots or offerings with yellow and white decoration sit on the far platform. Pennants and string lights hang overhead.
