A man in a saffron-orange robe with an ornate gold-patterned crown sits on the left, raising his hand toward the murti in an offering gesture, with a brass vessel on the ground in front. A second man in white dhoti and a red-bordered shawl kneels on the right with palms pressed together in prayer. A third person sits partly visible at the far left edge. The appearance of the crowned figure in saffron is a person candidate, identified by the saffron robe, crown and seated ceremonial posture, but the face is not clearly visible.2010-11-23November 22 20102010-11-22Night view of an illuminated outdoor shivalinga installed in a water tank, with a fountain spraying water behind it. A large decorated deity murti, adorned with red and yellow garlands, sits in a lit alcove at the lower right, flanked by small oil lamps and a row of lit lamps on the tank's edge. A few people in white are partially visible near the lower right corner, seated at the water's edge. A small banner or sign is visible at the top centre. The scene suggests an abhishekam-style night ceremony at a temple tank.2010-11-23Night-time outdoor ritual at a temple-like setting with a large dark kalasha-shaped structure and a tall pillar behind. A deity murti is decorated with marigold and flower garlands and placed on a raised white-draped platform framed by green leaves and colourful garland strands. A man in an orange robe and a turban-like head covering sits cross-legged at the left of the platform, facing the murti and making an offering. Beside him, a second man in white clothing sits seated and tends the offerings. A young man in white stands at the far right edge, and a fourth figure is partly visible at the left. A multicoloured parasol canopy is raised above the deity. Strings of coloured lights run along the background roof line.2010-11-22Night photograph of an outdoor field filled with rows of white-cloth-draped shivalinga sculptures, each with a dark top, lit by floodlights and a crescent moon over a dark hill. In the foreground, a large central deity murti with a wide orange face mask, trident-like ornaments and a silver tilaka is adorned with garlands of yellow marigolds, purple and white flowers, a rudraksha mala and silver ornaments, draped in an orange cloth. A white-and-pink striped dhoti-cloth lies on the platform below. Parked vehicles and light poles stand behind the field. No people are visible in the scene.2012-01-08A dark stone Shivalinga is dressed for worship, draped in a white cloth with broad gold-and-red zari borders and a green cloth canopy above it. A garland of white flowers hangs across the front, and a pink and orange flower offering sits at its base. Three horizontal white tripundra marks are painted on the front of the linga. A lit oil lamp stands on a metal stand in the foreground, and a blurred hand is visible at the left edge. The setting is a dim temple shrine.2012-05-18May 18 20122012-05-18
