Night photograph of an outdoor event hall with a large floral arch garlanded in white, red, yellow and green blossoms around a black Shiva lingam. The lingam bears three horizontal white stripes and a white necklace, set against a blue and gold circular backdrop. In front stands a green cloth-draped platform with a yellow sash, a brass kalasha and a small silver-and-green deity murti garlanded with flowers. Rows of white-covered seats fill the foreground, arranged for a large gathering, with overhead lights and a wooden frame around the display.2015-05-05Night photograph of a large outdoor pad-puja gathering. In the foreground, a figure seated on a white-draped platform wears a large orange-and-white face, a crown of white and green flowers, and garlands of yellow, pink, purple and white blossoms with a rudraksha mala and ornate silver necklace; the face and clothing suggest a deity murti or statue rather than a living person. Rows of small black lingams with white cloths are arranged across the ground before him, lit by floodlights under a dark sky with a moon and hills behind. Several small figures stand at the edges near parked vehicles and a building, too small to count reliably.2012-01-08Night outdoor satsang at a large open ground under street lamps and a crescent moon. In the foreground stands a deity murti draped in garlands of yellow and maroon flowers, with a red cloth, silver necklace and rudraksha-style beaded mala, seated on a white draped platform with a striped cloth. Behind it, hundreds of seated devotees in white clothes face the murti, and shipping containers and parked vehicles line the background.2012-01-08April 06 20122012-04-06December 06 20162016-12-06February 24 20172017-02-24February 24 20172017-02-24A large floral-decorated Shivalinga stands tall behind a golden throne at a night event, its tiers wrapped in garlands of yellow, white, purple and red flowers. Seated on the golden peetha is a bare-chested man with long dark hair and a rudraksha mala, holding a trident, with a lotus-style arched backdrop of striped flowers. Seated devotees in white and cream clothing face the throne at low wooden tables laden with brass plates, lamps and offerings. Lit lamps and floodlights surround the scene, with a seated crowd in the foreground and a woman in orange at the right edge.2017-02-24January 08 20122012-01-08April 17 20112011-04-17April 17 20112011-04-17Night-time outdoor ritual at a large Shiva lingam decorated with bands of marigold garlands in yellow, orange, white, purple and green, with a red and white cloth wrap across its face. Priests in white dhotis work around the lingam and a tiered metal frame, one figure on the upper steps holding up a flaming lamp. Spectators in white sit on stone tiers at right, lit by floodlights and rows of string lights along a wall. At lower right, a seated figure in an ornate gold throne-like seat with a small gold bowl and vessel is partly visible, with a red carpet beneath. The scene appears to be a lingam abhishekam-style ceremony.2016-12-23
