A night-time procession photograph showing a gilded ratha or palanquin carrying a decorated deity murti, its figure draped in layered garlands of yellow, green and red flowers with a gold-trimmed canopy behind. Two attendants stand at the side: one in white dhoti and shawl holding a white chamara fan, and another in orange and gold-striped cloth with a saffron turban, holding a white fan. Dark trees frame the scene and a few partially visible people stand at the bottom edge of the frame.

A large seated figure in an ornate arch is decked with thick garlands of red, orange and yellow flowers and gold ornaments, lit warmly from the front. Two attendants in white dhoti-style garments with orange shawls stand beside the float at its base. Bare trees and a streetlamp are visible above, with a low brick wall at right. Several dark silhouettes of onlookers or bearers stand in the foreground. The seated figure appears to be a deity murti or statue rather than a living person, so no appearance-based candidate is identified.2015-02-03
