A street scene in front of a large South Indian temple gopuram under bamboo scaffolding for restoration, its tiered stone tower carved with figures and topped with finials. Two uniformed police officers in khaki shirts and trousers walk down the dusty road, one carrying a bag. On the right, several men in white dhotis and shirts stand near parked motorcycles and a white-and-orange bus, and a woman in a white sari walks in the centre. Trees, a water tank and shophouses frame the scene under an overcast sky.
