A photograph of a large stone gopuram temple tower, its tiers wrapped in bamboo scaffolding for renovation, with carved sculptures visible on the upper levels. In the foreground, a uniformed police officer in khaki stands at left beside a parked orange-and-white bus and blue plastic chairs. Several men in white dhotis and shirts stand or walk on the dirt ground in front of the temple, one carrying a bicycle at right, and a white-shirted man stands near the entrance. Trees and a white dome-shaped structure frame the scene under a hazy sky.
