Outdoor photo of a crowd gathered around a decorated palanquin carrying a deity murti heavily adorned with garlands of yellow and white flowers. A figure in saffron-orange robes with long dark hair stands at the palanquin, reaching toward the murti and offerings on a tray. Many devotees in white clothes surround it, including women in white saris with rudraksha-style beaded necklaces and men in white shirts. A colourful striped umbrella shades the murti. Behind, a white bus with the sign Nithyanandam and a truck, plus a white building and palm trees, set the scene.

December 23 20092009-12-23Outdoor procession scene at an ashram-style compound. A man in an orange saffron robe with long dark hair bends over a decorated table or palanquin-like platform heavy with flower garlands, fruit, brass vessels and offerings, sheltered under a multicoloured fringed parasol. Around him a large crowd of devotees in white clothes, many women in white saris and a few in pink and cream, stands with raised hands and joined palms. A white bus with blue lettering and a red-and-cream building are behind. A printed framed portrait is visible at left. The man in saffron shows distinctive long swept-back hair and orange robe, which is a probable identification cue, and the portrait/banner context matches the page; the figure is labelled a person in the appearance-based sense. Crowd dominates the frame.2009-12-23December 23 20092009-12-23December 23 20092009-12-23December 23 20092009-12-23Outdoor photograph of a procession or pooja at an ashram ground. A central figure with long dark hair and a bare chest, wearing an orange-saffron cloth, stands beneath a multicoloured parasol with fringed tassels, holding a golden-tipped staff. Around him, devotees in white clothes with yellow sashes and garlands stand with folded hands, while others hold a blue cloth and a tray of flowers and offerings on a low table. A white van with signage stands in the background, with a building under construction and a tree on the right. Approximately 20 physical people are visible. The central figure's long hair, saffron cloth and ceremonial setting are suggestive of a person candidate, though the appearance is not conclusive.2009-12-23A photograph of an outdoor procession at a village setting with a thatched-roof building and palm trees. In the foreground, a line of women and men with hands folded in prayer face a vehicle-mounted platform carrying a deity murti (utsava murti) decorated with fresh garlands and flowers, with brass offering trays, lamps and fruit set on an orange cloth. A man in an orange robe and shawl stands at the left of the platform beneath a colourful multi-coloured umbrella with tassels. A man in white clothing stands on top of the vehicle, and a figure in white is seated inside the vehicle's windshield area. Several women wear white and cream saris, one in pink, and a man in a white shirt stands at right with a garland around his neck. Rudraksha-style beaded necklaces are visible on several devotees. The scene suggests a utsava murti procession with aarti and pooja offerings.2009-12-23Outdoor procession scene with a figure in a saffron-orange robe standing on a decorated wooden float or cart, leaning to offer something from a brass tray toward a deity murti adorned with flower garlands and a yellow-and-white cloth. A large multicoloured umbrella stands above the float. Around it a crowd of ashramites in white and cream clothes, some wearing lanyards, raise their hands in devotion; a woman in a pale sari and a man in white stand in the foreground. A white bus with the printed words BE BLISSFUL is parked behind, and palm trees and red and yellow buildings frame the street.2009-12-23December 23 20092009-12-23December 23 20092009-12-23December 23 20092009-12-23December 23 20082008-12-23
