Outdoor photo of a crowd gathered around a tall flagstaff (dhvaja stambha) at a Brahmotsava flag-hoisting ceremony beneath palm trees. Several figures in saffron/orange robes stand near the base of the pole, one holding a tall stalk-like object, with an orange ceremonial umbrella overhead. Devotees in white dhotis, white shirts, and white and cream saris surround them, with a few in orange and pink saris. Colourful decorated poles with orange fringed banners frame the scene, and orange flags flutter nearby. Brass plates with offerings sit on a cloth-covered table at the lower right. A small white structure and corrugated roof are visible behind the trees. Roughly several dozen people are visible.
