January 20 20142014-01-20Outdoor photo of several men walking along a white marble path beside a temple complex with sandstone pillars and a small white shrine with a spire and orange flag. The foreground man on the right wears a long saffron shawl, a dark olive vest over beige robes, and a rudraksha-style necklace, with long swept-back hair and a full beard. Beside him, a man in brown and ochre robes with a flower garland walks ahead, and a bearded man in white follows. Behind them several people in orange and white walk near the temple steps under bright sunlight.2014-01-20 +1 copiesTwo saffron-robed men walk together outdoors past a whitewashed building with a barred window and potted flowering plants with red blooms. On the left, a man with long dark hair swept back wears a rust-red robe with gold-yellow borders, a long rudraksha mala and a ceremonial gold bead necklace, and a red thread on his wrist. Beside him, a shaved-headed older man in a bright orange shawl and robe, with a vermilion tilak on his forehead, gestures with one hand as he talks. Several other monks and men in the background, including a man in a brown shirt, stand near the wall. The left man has distinctive long hair, ornate beads and rudraksha, so a probable Swamiji identification applies to him as the person with long hair and rudraksha malas; the older saffron-clad man is a sannyasi in a visible tilak and shawl.2014-03-14October 03 20152015-10-03March 14 20142014-03-14October 03 20152015-10-03A photograph of a procession on a white-tiled courtyard before a pink stone shrine with the inscription "Bhagwan Shri Kapileshwar Mahadev". At the centre, a smiling man with swept-back long hair wears a red-maroon robe with gold borders, a rudraksha mala, a ceremonial gold necklace and a fresh red-and-white flower garland, and walks with his hand raised. Two monks in matching maroon-and-gold robes with mala beads walk beside him; the one on the right carries a silver tray of offerings. A bearded man in white with a grey jacket stands behind, and a younger man in a yellow kurta and vest stands at the right holding papers. Behind, more people in saffron and white stand near a temple entrance.2014-01-20Outdoor courtyard scene at a temple area with a white-pillared arcade behind. In the centre, a man in a red-orange turban, orange-gold dhoti and shawl, a marigold and white flower garland, and rudraksha malas walks forward smiling, accompanied by saffron-robed attendants and an elderly man in pale orange robes with a white beard. Another saffron-clad attendant with a shaved head and rudraksha beads carries an orange bag. Men and women in white dhotis and saris stand in the background. The central figure shows probable Swamiji cues: a red-orange turban, garland and rudraksha malas, so he is identified as Swamiji (probable).2015-10-03A photograph of saffron-clad sannyasis outside a yellow-washed building in Varanasi. In the centre, a man in a deep red turban with a red-and-white tilak wears a marigold garland with white flower strands and a rudraksha mala; he wears a red and orange dhoti-style wrap. Beside him, a bald man in red-and-gold robes with wire-framed glasses and a rudraksha mala walks alongside. Behind them, saffron-robed men stand on concrete steps, one blowing a conch shell and another holding a brass vessel. A barred brown metal window sits in the wall. Appearance-based cues are not distinctive enough to name a person, so the central turbaned figure is described by role only.2015-10-03November 27 20062006-11-27January 20 20142014-01-20Outdoor courtyard of a temple complex with white and cream shikhara spires topped with orange flags, under a clear blue sky. A group of saffron-robed men walks across a pale paved floor.
