Centre stage a figure in an orange-saffron robe and orange turban with long hair sits in front of a large black-and-white portrait of a smiling woman printed on an orange backdrop; the portrait is labelled in print. Above the stage hang bright tinsel streamers in silver, pink, blue and red. At right an older bearded man in an orange shawl stands beside the stage. A microphone stand is visible. The figure in the orange turban has appearance cues consistent with the page's a person reference, though the image is small and distance limits certainty. Several dozen people are visible.2008-07-28 +1 copiesJuly 28 20082008-07-28July 28 20082008-07-28 +1 copiesA crowd of devotees fills a hall in front of a large backdrop showing a smiling woman with a bindi in black and white, with orange and tinsel decorations above. At the centre, a man in an orange turban, orange robe and rudraksha mala stands on a raised white platform, flanked by people in white shirts and dhotis. Devotees in front wear striped and checked shirts, and a woman in a white sari with a beaded necklace stands at right beside a ceiling fan. The man in orange has long hair, but his face is not clearly visible enough to confirm identity, so this is an uncertain candidate. The seated figure wears a rudraksha mala and a saffron shawl, with eyeglasses. Beside and behind the throne, a man in an orange robe stands on the right, and a second attendant in orange stands at the left edge. A crowd of devotees in white shirts and white or orange saris stands close in front, several with hands folded or pressed together in greeting, and a woman in a white sari with orange border holds an offering. White pedestal fans stand at the edges. Appearance-based cues on the seated figure (turban, saffron robe, rudraksha mala) match the event page's a person reference, but the identification is uncertain.2008-07-28 +1 copiesCrowded outdoor event at a stage before a large banner with a faded black-and-white portrait of a smiling man. A figure in an orange-red turban and orange robe with dark beaded malas stands on a white raised seat in the centre, smiling, with a hand extended toward a devotee. A man in an orange robe stands at the right edge. Several people hold flower garlands. Appearance-based cues on the central figure (orange turban and robe, long hair, beaded malas) suggest Swamiji (probable), presiding as a guest of honour on a throne-like seat.2008-07-28Outdoor event under a tent with an orange and white drape backdrop featuring a large black-and-white portrait of a smiling woman. A figure in orange saffron robe and orange head turban, with a long rudraksha mala around the neck, sits on a white throne-like seat; the figure's face is partly hidden in shadow and the appearance is not clear enough to confirm identity, so this is a sannyasi-dressed person on a peetha. Devotees in saris and white shirts crowd around, a woman in a green blouse and white sari offers a folded paper, a woman in a pink sari with a white dhoti-clad man stand near, and a man in white shirt stands at right.
