A man with long swept-back dark hair and an orange saffron robe sits on an ornate gold-carved throne with red velvet cushions, palms pressed together in namaste. Seated on the floor before him, a bald priest in white dhoti with a gold necklace and a woman in a white sari with a red-bordered blouse and beaded necklace hold their hands folded in prayer. Brass and silver ritual plates with flowers, a tray of fruit and a brass tray are placed on a gold-carved stand beside the throne. Other people in white and plain clothes sit in the foreground, partly visible, with a navy curtain behind the throne.2010-10-19September 07 20092009-09-07October 25 20102010-10-25September 17 20102010-09-17A photograph inside a temple hall shows a man seated on an ornate gold-and-red throne, wearing a saffron-orange robe and a dark rudraksha mala, with his hands resting in his lap and eyes closed. Seated on the floor before him are devotees: a man in white on the left with palms pressed together, a woman in a white sari holding a small brass plate, a woman in a yellow-and-white sari with a plate, and several women with hair pulled back, some with flowers. Behind the throne are a gilded shrine with garlands and a deity murti, plus a carved stone panel. Brass plates with offerings and lamps sit on the floor, and red-and-white striped pillars frame the scene. The seated figure appears to be a person, a candidate in saffron with rudraksha mala seated on a throne; appearance cues are present but the image is small, so the identification is uncertain.2010-08-21
