Outdoor temple courtyard scene during a Pongal harvest celebration. A large black stone Nandi bull statue, draped in an orange-red cloth and garlanded with white and red flowers, sits on a red platform. Several women in orange saris with rudraksha malas kneel and pour from clay pots near the base, while others in orange saris stand nearby. Sugarcane stalks are tied at the left and a woman at right holds a bundle of green banana-leaf-wrapped offerings. Other people in white and coloured clothing stand in the background among green trees.

Sugarcane stalks stand tied around the pot, and a green leaf is placed on its rim. She wears a white forehead mark, a beaded necklace and a thin red border sari. Behind her, several people in orange robes and white dhotis stand holding long poles, and colourful rangoli patterns decorate the ground.
