A seated man in saffron-orange robes and a long rudraksha mala sits on a red velvet throne with tiger-striped cushions, a gold kalasha-like lamp beside him. He holds out red flower petals and small offerings to a young boy in a white shirt who leans forward with cupped hands. A smiling woman in white with a red bindi and a girl in white stand nearby, and a bald man is partly visible at the lower edge. A tray holds gold-plated items, red petals and packets. The setting is an indoor ritual room with a gold-framed wall. The seated man is an appearance-based candidate with saffron robes, a rudraksha mala and ceremonial setting, identified only as a person; he is presented as the one receiving honours at a padapuja-style ritual.2011-11-26December 07 20092009-12-07October 28 20102010-10-28 +1 copiesDecember 24 20092009-12-24November 10 20102010-11-10December 24 20092009-12-24August 09 20092009-08-09July 17 20082008-07-17December 24 20092009-12-24A photograph of a ceremonial exchange in an ashram hall. A man with long swept-back dark hair, wearing orange saffron clothing, a garland of multicoloured flowers and rudraksha-style beads, sits on an ornate gold throne with a red cushion, smiling as he holds a small blue packet and a sweet-like offering. Behind him a gold-carved throne back shows a deity relief, and flower-decorated arches frame the scene. In front, a young woman in a white dress and a woman in a gold-bordered white sari stand offering a paper item. A second man in orange robes and beads stands between them. A metal bowl of wrapped candies sits at the right, and a fan is at the left.2009-12-24December 24 20092009-12-24December 24 20092009-12-24
