A photograph of a shaved-head, grey-haired man with white vertical tilak lines on his forehead and white sacred ash markings on his chest and shoulders, wearing thin wire-rimmed glasses. He is bare-chested, wearing a white sacred thread, and holds small bundled sticks in his hands while focusing downward, seemingly during a ritual. Behind and beside him, other bare-chested devotees seated in rows, also marked with white ash, appear blurred in a pink-walled hall during a Shiva Deeksha initiation.
