Outdoor photo of a large banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots and a wide canopy over a sandy courtyard. Several people stand and walk around the trunk and nearby stone platforms; one woman in a pink top and white pants stands on the left with a small girl in a yellow dress. A man in a yellow shirt and blue jeans walks near the base, and a few men in white dhotis and light shirts stand to the right. On the right, a black stone deity murti with an orange shawl and garlands sits beside a mound of orange cloth-wrapped offerings, with a black snake-like rope border. A white sign reads SILENCE PLEASE. Nearby stands a woman in white.2010-11-03August 10 20112011-08-10Outdoor photo beneath a large banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots and white-painted posts around its base. In the centre-right, a barefoot person in a leopard-print shawl over orange clothing walks toward a raised circular platform. On the platform sits a large red-painted mound with a dark stone deity murti draped in orange cloth, ringed by a black-and-white bordered edge. A figure in orange robes stands at the left edge, partly cropped. A small white sign reads 'SILENCE PLEASE' near the tree roots. Sunlight dapples the dirt ground. Dozens of seated devotees in white and orange clothing sit on mats and cloth on sandy ground, facing a speaker seated on a white-draped chair at right. The speaker wears an orange robe and has long dark hair; a handheld microphone stands before him. Beside the chair, a garlanded orange-clad figure sits on a pedestal, and in the foreground a grey-and-white serpent sculpture curls around a stone base with a small offering plate of fruit. A black board on an easel stands near the speaker. Some attendees wear white ritual clothes, others orange or red shawls, and a few wear white lanyards.2005-12-19Outdoor photo beneath a large banyan tree with many hanging aerial roots, at an ashram grounds setting. A sign reading "SILENCE PLEASE" sits on a round stone platform in the lower left. Several people stand with hands joined in prayer namaskar: a woman in a green jacket and pink skirt, a woman in a cream sari with green border, a man in white shirt and yellow shawl, and others in white and light clothing, with a few more partly visible among the trunks. On the right, a black stone deity murti seated on a pedestal wears an orange cloth and is draped with orange garlands, set against red-painted stones. Red kumkum-coloured offerings cover the base. Total physical people visible is roughly six to twenty.2010-11-09June 04 20092009-06-04July 08 20102010-07-08
