Close view of hands during a ritual exchange. A pair of cupped hands, one holding a small clear crystal or glass-like object, receives from another hand reaching in from the left. The sleeve of a pink garment appears in the blurred foreground. Behind, a gold ornate object glows softly, and a blue plastic water bottle sits at the right edge. No faces are visible, and no person can be confidently identified.

Gold-toned ceremonial fabric and a red cushion sit behind. The seated man's face is cropped out; the mood is one of devotional foot service. Attribution of the seated man is not established from appearance, so the role is given as a seated devotee receiving padapuja-style foot care.2010-11-14Close-up photograph of a seated person in a saffron-orange robe extending a bare hand palm-up toward another person's raised hand, which is draped in a pale pink-peach cloth. On the right, a person in saffron-orange cloth wears a rudraksha mala of brown beads and holds their hand out, palm turned upward, toward a person on the left whose arm wears a red and white beaded bracelet and a pink garment. The background shows more orange and red fabric, and a blurred green edge at the right. No face is visible, and the shot is tightly cropped on the hands and the exchange between them.2015-12-19
