A photograph taken through a vehicle's windshield on a sunny street. A large saffron-orange flag with a dark figure logo flies from the vehicle's front, and a small framed photo pair sits on the dashboard. Outside, a yellow auto-rickshaw with passengers, a white hatchback with a Tamil Nadu plate, and trucks crowd the road. Roadside billboards, a red Airtel sign, and a poster-covered wall line the street under green trees and a clear blue sky. A few pedestrians are visible on the sidewalk, including a man in a white shirt with a bag and a person in red, but none appear in a posed ritual setting.2010-01-11A hazy daytime street scene shot from inside a vehicle on a busy road, with traffic moving in both directions. Yellow-and-black auto-rickshaws, a white hatchback, a white minivan, a bus and a dark car fill the lanes. A man in a white shirt rides a silver scooter toward the camera, and two pedestrians in dark and pink clothing walk along the left roadside beside a yellow truck. Tall leafy trees line the road, and a red-and-white roadside billboard stands above the shops on the right. No a person candidate is visible.2012-05-09A street view taken through a car windshield in a busy Indian town. A silver Hyundai sedan with a TN 07 registration plate is in the foreground, with a yellow auto-rickshaw to its left. Along the roadside, shopfronts display signs for Airtel, Univers Mobile and Suguna Chicken. Several pedestrians walk along the road, and red banners hang from poles. Trees and street lamps line the road under a pale sky.2009-01-18January 18 20092009-01-18November 10 20112011-11-10A roadside street scene during a daytime procession in Tamil Nadu, with a white Maruti van in the foreground carrying a framed portrait on its dashboard area and a driver in a white shirt. Behind it follow a second white van, a blue-and-white bus, and yellow auto-rickshaws. On the right, a man in a grey shirt walks past a saffron-orange flag fluttering in the near foreground, while a rider on a motorcycle in a white shirt passes beside it. Trees line the road, and roadside shops and a billboard stand on both sides. Several people stand along the far right roadside. The scene reads as a vehicle procession moving along a street.2006-10-23October 27 20062006-10-27A busy town street in Tamil Nadu viewed from a temple-style carved stone pillar at right. A saffron-orange flag hangs from the pillar. Traffic fills the road: a blue-and-white city bus, a white auto-rickshaw with a portrait photo on its front, silver and dark hatchback cars, and motorcycles with riders in the foreground. Shopfronts line the street with signboards in Tamil script, including a red banner and a sign reading Vasavi Bhaisa... Electronics style signage. Pedestrians walk along the pavement under an overcast sky with overhead wires.2006-10-27October 22 20062006-10-22September 19 20062006-09-19October 23 20062006-10-23A busy street in an Indian town on a hazy day, with cars, buses, auto-rickshaws and motorbikes crowding a dusty road lined with trees and shopfronts. Men in white shirts and dhotis ride motorcycles and walk along the pavement, and a small vehicle carries green banana plants and foliage toward the procession area. Signboards read AYYANNA and TN 45 on the vehicles, and the scene suggests a roadside gathering for a ratha procession rather than a ceremony itself. No deity or featured ritual figure is clearly visible in the frame.2006-10-20
