Each wears orange cloth and rudraksha malas, and several have white sacred markings on their arms and foreheads. Behind them is a carved wooden stand, and a standing figure in white dhoti and shawl with a folded cloth stands at the right edge holding a garland. Prasad-style food including rice, vadas and sweets is served on leaves. The walls are white and a grey notice is on the wall beside a doorway. The visible identity cues on the seated men are not distinctive enough to attribute to any named person.2011-03-05A long open hall with a thatched roof where rows of saffron-robed sadhus sit cross-legged on the floor before banana leaf plates heaped with rice, sweets and offerings. A standing figure in an orange dhoti and shawl, with a rudraksha-style bead necklace and a lit flame in hand, moves down the row performing aarti before the seated men. Many seated sadhus wear orange and saffron cloth, orange turbans and pink flower adornments, with white and grey beards and vibhuti marks. Paper cups of water sit beside each leaf, and a tall painted banner behind reads Sree Nithyananda Namaha. Scattered petals lie on the floor. Roughly twenty-five to thirty people are visible in the scene.2011-01-16A photograph of a long, open-sided tent where many saffron-robed sadhus sit cross-legged in rows on the ground, each before a green banana leaf with a small glass of water. Many have grey or white beards and long hair, and several wear orange turbans, orange and pink headwear. A bearded man in the foreground wears an orange cloth over his shoulders, and an older white-bearded sadhu with a rudraksha mala sits at center. A man in white walks through the aisle between the rows. Behind them, banners carry Tamil and English text, and a printed portrait sits at the upper right. Pillars and a thatched roof frame the scene.2011-01-16December 30 20092009-12-30November 15 20212021-11-15April 14 20132013-04-14 +2 copies
