Each wears orange cloth and rudraksha malas, and several have white sacred markings on their arms and foreheads. Behind them is a carved wooden stand, and a standing figure in white dhoti and shawl with a folded cloth stands at the right edge holding a garland. Prasad-style food including rice, vadas and sweets is served on leaves. The walls are white and a grey notice is on the wall beside a doorway. The visible identity cues on the seated men are not distinctive enough to attribute to any named person.2011-03-05February 15 20132013-02-15 +3 copiesA photograph of several shaven-headed men in saffron-orange robes seated cross-legged on a white tiled floor, eating a meal served on green banana leaves with small steel tumblers. Several plates hold rotis, rice, curries and sweets. The man on the far left has a hand to his face, another in the centre gestures with an open hand, and others look on, with white tilak lines and rudraksha or gold necklaces. A carved wooden chair stands at the right, and a woman in a blue sari appears at the left edge. Behind them are white walls and steps.2011-03-05A row of saffron-robed sannyasis sits cross-legged on a white tiled floor, facing right, before banana leaves set with food and steel tumblers. The foremost man on the left wears clear-framed glasses, a rudraksha mala and white tripundra marks on his forehead and arms. Beside him, several other saffron-clad monks wear beaded malas, and one holds a garland of orange flowers. Behind them, two men in white dhotis stand in the background. At the right edge, a framed painting and a round wooden seat or stool are visible. No figure is clearly identifiable as a person from appearance, so the depicted people are described by role only.2011-03-05September 11 20152015-09-11 +1 copiesSeptember 11 20152015-09-11 +1 copiesApril 14 20132013-04-14 +2 copiesAnnadhan in 20132013-01-01 +1 copiesFour men sit cross-legged on a bare floor in bright daylight, with banana leaves and small plastic cups set in front of them. The man on the far left is bare-chested with a sacred thread and an orange cloth around his waist. The second man is bare-chested with a cream shawl draped over his shoulders and an orange lower cloth. The third wears an orange shawl over a bare chest and cream dhoti, and the man on the far right wears an orange shawl and orange dhoti, with his hands busy in front of him. All four have white ash marks on their foreheads and bodies. A pillar and a bright white wall stand behind them. Their pose and the leaf plates suggest a seated meal or offering, but the image alone does not show more.2011-01-16September 20 20152015-09-20
