A photograph of a seated teacher on a red-cushioned throne-like dais, wearing an orange robe and a long multicolour flower garland with a red-and-white bead necklace, with a red tilak on his forehead. Two standing attendants in orange robes and white garlands stand behind the dais, one holding a red box on the platform. Around the stage, around two dozen children and young people sit on a green mat, many in black or red clothing, watching attentively. A brass-and-red footstool sits in front of the dais. Behind them a large banner shows a smiling portrait in an orange head wrap above Tamil script.
