Annadhan in 20152015-01-01A dining hall at a Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam-style ashram where devotees dressed in white are seated at long tables with green-and-white tablecloths and small flower vases, eating from plates. Several white-clad volunteers, some wearing hair nets and surgical caps, serve food and carry buckets, while a man in a white dhoti and a rudraksha mala at the centre holds a bucket. Behind them a golden deity murti and a red-and-gold painted backdrop of a deity stand against the wall, and a laptop sits on a wooden bench in the foreground. Steel rope barriers guide the flow along a glossy floor.2015-02-21February 22 20152015-02-22Large indoor hall with red drapes and pale floor where many devotees sit in rows on the floor eating a meal from divided steel or plastic trays. Many wear white or cream kurtas and saris with orange-red shawls and lanyards; a few wear orange-brown robes. Men and women sit close together; some hold plates and small brass bowls. A cameraman stands in the background near a screen showing a colourful image, and a framed picture hangs on a side wall. Water bottles sit on the floor among the diners. Chandeliers hang from the ceiling.2015-10-26 +1 copiesOctober 26 20152015-10-26 +1 copiesSeptember 15 20142014-09-15October 23 20152015-10-23A large hall with a red-walled backdrop, a white ornamental tree sculpture and an ornate golden seat with a central figure. Long rows of people sit on the floor for a shared meal, with banana-leaf plates of food, small cups and water bottles set along the rows. Women and girls in saffron and orange saris with gold borders sit near the front, many with flowers and garlands; others in white dhotis and white saris with red-and-gold shawls sit in the foreground and along the side. Some men in saffron robes sit at the left near the seat. The scene suggests an annadan-style communal meal in an ashram hall.2015-10-23Annadhan in 20152015-01-01 +1 copiesFebruary 19 20152015-02-19Indoor photograph of a ceremonial meal in a hall with red walls and framed photo panels.
