A small figure in an orange garment and white top, with an orange head covering, stands near a tree on the right, among several other trees and palms on the horizon under an overcast sky. The ground is marked with rows of freshly turned red soil.2021-09-27September 27 20212021-09-27September 27 20212021-09-27Outdoors under a canopy of spreading trees, several people dig and shovel reddish-brown earth on a slope. In the foreground a man in orange robes and a rudraksha-style necklace bends low, working a digging tool into the soil. Beside him another person in orange digs with a wooden-handled tool. A man in a white kurta and white dhoti steps on the earth holding a long-handled tool, and a figure in orange lifts a bowl of soil at the right. Others in white and orange stand in the background among leafy branches, and a person in black carries a metal bowl. The scene appears to be a work or digging activity at a wooded site.2016-09-18A photograph taken at night of a person kneeling on grass to plant a young sapling in a shallow, freshly dug circle of reddish-brown earth. The planter wears a white kurta-style garment with an orange shawl draped over the shoulders and white dhoti-like lower clothing, with long dark hair. Red plastic buckets stand nearby, one holding loose soil, and a red pot lies on its side at the right. Another person in white clothing stands partly visible at the top left. The person's appearance shows long swept-back hair and an orange shawl, but without a crown, rudraksha mala or ceremonial gold necklace, the identity is uncertain, so the person is described by role as the planter.2008-01-16November 23 20092009-11-23September 27 20212021-09-27A worker in white clothing bends over a round grey bucket on red-brown soil in a grassy field, scooping dark compost or manure into a shallow pit dug into the ground. Patches of green grass surround the dug earth, with a small sapling visible at the upper right and dry roots lying on the soil. The scene shows hands-on organic planting preparation at a farm plot. No ceremony, deity or a person is visible; the person is seen only from the waist up and from behind, so identity is not established.2021-09-27
