Night photograph of an outdoor ritual on a dirt ground. A large effigy figure tied to upright wooden poles is engulfed in tall orange flames, with smoke rising to the left. Along the right edge, a line of about twenty people in white and cream clothes, some in saffron and yellow, stand watching quietly. Further back, a few people in red and orange robes stand near an ornate golden umbrella or canopy and a dark ceremonial structure. Trees and a low building form the background.

Smoke drifts upward against a dark background of trees. Along the right, a row of people in white and light-coloured clothing, several in orange or red garments, stand watching. In the background left, a crowd stands behind a barrier and a decorated structure glows with lights. The scene suggests an anti-spiritual elements burning ritual; the effigy is a straw figure being burnt, not a person.2016-03-02March 02 20162016-03-02March 02 20162016-03-02 +3 copiesMarch 02 20162016-03-02 +2 copiesMarch 02 20162016-03-02 +2 copiesMarch 02 20162016-03-02 +1 copiesNight photograph of a bonfire-style ritual on a dirt ground. A large effigy-like figure built from bamboo poles is engulfed in bright orange flames and billowing smoke, with sparks streaming upward. Behind it, a line of devotees stands watching; several have their hands folded in prayer, and some wear white or light-coloured clothes. A yellow umbrella or canopy and red draped cloth are visible in the background near a small raised platform. A few partial figures and a standing man in white at the right edge complete the scene.2016-03-02 +2 copies
