A painted and sculpted temple niche depicts a seated deity murti with a multi-hooded serpent canopy and crown, holding a staff, with a serpent coiled beneath. Flanking painted figures include a bearded sage with hands folded, a figure playing a stringed instrument in orange and white, a green-faced figure holding a parrot, a bull-headed figure with hands joined, and a bearded figure in orange with rudraksha beads. Ornate purple and gold arches frame the scene. A Tamil inscription appears above. This is a painted mural, not a living person.2012-05-29A painted temple niche shows a seated multi-headed serpent-canopied deity murti in pink and blue, with a five-hooded cobra overhead, hand raised in blessing and a crown and gold jewellery. Flanking him are figures in white and red garments, a blue-skinned figure with hands folded, and a figure in orange-red robes with folded hands. Two winged cherub-like figures with garlands fly above the arch. Painted floral borders frame the scene on a green background. A dark-watermarked corner is present.
