A figure in saffron-orange robes with an orange head covering and a white flower garland stands at a tall white flagpole, reaching up to pull the rope that raises a small flag. Around them, men in white dhotis and white shirts and others in light checked and dark shirts stand watching, several with palms pressed together in greeting. A person with long dark hair, wearing an orange-red head wrap, an orange-saffron shawl and a white floral garland, grips rope lines attached to a tall white flagpole while gazing upward. Above them a large yellow ceremonial umbrella with multicoloured fringe in red, green, blue and orange hangs over the scene. Around them, men and women in white shirts and dark rudraksha-style beaded necklaces stand clapping and looking up, with trees and a clear sky behind. The figure's appearance fits the page's Swamiji reference through several cues, including long hair, saffron clothing, and a garland, so this is an appearance-based probable identification; the scene shows a flag-raising at the Kanchipuram ashram inauguration. Crowd of roughly ten to fifteen visible people.2006-11-24
