Many people in white dhotis and white shirts walk in a long column, some carrying drums and others holding up large triangular umbrellas with red, orange and yellow panels bearing a blue bird emblem. Men in dark shirts walk at the front carrying poles, and a decorated palanquin or deity float with a colourful arched canopy sits in the background.
